Apartment building Marousi

The residential building in Marousi was designed to offer a contemporary urban living environment in one of the most sought-after northern suburbs of Athens. The architectural composition is articulated through a sequence of projections and recesses, forming a dynamic morphology that gives the building a sculptural presence while reinforcing its relationship with the urban frontage.

Generous horizontal overhangs and spacious balconies ensure ample natural light and open views, while simultaneously providing shading and privacy for the residents. The façade is developed through a restrained and carefully selected material palette, where warm beige plaster is combined with darker elements, marble cladding, and vertical wooden louvers, creating a balance between geometric clarity and material warmth.

At ground level, the entrance is conceived as a gentle transition from public to private space, defined by linear lighting elements and integrated planting that shape a welcoming arrival experience. The arrangement of openings and the orientation of the residences enhance natural ventilation and strengthen the connection with the surrounding greenery, reflecting the studio’s approach to residential design that prioritizes functionality, spatial quality, and everyday wellbeing.
